Mission: The Overlords
Timeline: ::Backpost::

Once she was able to say a hello to everyone that was there, she entered the shuttle and looked around. It was cozy. A brief wave of dizziness hit her, and she leaned against the side of the shuttle so she wouldn't fall.

Khelev looked up from where he was working, he'd gotten the new subspace antenna installed and had just brought the transceiver assembly online and started broadcasting a distress signal. He noticed M'Gann's color seemed a little off and he stood up and offered her a hand. "Are you all right M'Gann?"

"Jus' dizzy," she replied. Cautiously, she moved to a chair and took a seat. "Can I get some water or something?" She murmured, head in her hands.

Khelev reached up and gently took a hold of her arm, if she needed any more help he was sure she would signal. "Why don't you come and sit down? We can have Gwen take a good look at you."

The blonde nodded slowly, grabbing onto his arm and letting him lead her to the other room.

Khelev kept an eye on M'Gann as he lead her back to where she could get some rest. He was concerned that she was reacting to something in the environment, it was always a concern.

Once she was able to sit she closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Hey Gwen," Khelev called. "Can you come check on M'Gann?"

Gwen heard Khelev's call, and grabbed her medical tricorder. She walked up to M'Gann and began scanning her, asking, "What are your symptoms? When did they start?"

"Nausea, cold, dizziness," she replied. "Orin... he sent someone to get rid of me... the trugrasa-" she winced when a fair amount of pain stabbed her abdomen. "Rassilon, I will hurt that man..." she grumbled through gritted teeth. "That was two days ago. I think I'm allergic, that bastard."

"She's going into anyphalactic shock." Gwen said, as she looked over her scans and then back to her patient. "Do you have any medication with you? I might have a hypospray steroid if-"

"Mara... she gave me some herbs that helped... my satchel," she added, pointing to the main room.

"I'll grab it," Khelev volunteered. The big Andorian headed back out and grabbed her bag. He glanced out a window before heading back and offering it to M'Gann. "I hope that helps."

She accepted the bag before fishing through it. Tossing the paper thin clothes aside, she grabbed three bunches of herbs. "I don't know how much of each she used, but it helped."

Gwen's eyes grew wide. What was she supposed to do with some random plants? M'Gann would asphyxiate soon if Gwen didn't do something, so she scanned each plant, detecting traces of antihysthamines, and gave her appropriate doses of each. "How do you apply it? Orally?"

Crap. Of all things to forget, she didn't ask how she used it. "M'Gann you bloody idiot..." she muttered. "I think so," she said, a little louder. She saw a bowl next to her when she woke up that had a greenish tint to it, so maybe it would work. "Yeah, orally," she replied, with more confidence. "I think she mixed it with water, like a tea."

Gwen nodded and quickly strode over to the replicator, saying, "Hot water," and then picking up the mug that appeared. She took a small tourniquet cloth from her kit and wrapped the herbs in it. She put the improvised tea bag into themug to steep, and told M'Gann, "Hold it under your face and breathe in the steam. It will help keep your airways clear." Once the water had grown a darkish green color, she said, "Take a sip."

"And what are we going to do with you, science geek?" Khelev sat down in one of the chairs in the room and leaned back as he watched M'Gann. "Running off on your own, obviously getting yourself in trouble. It's a good thing you showed up when you did too, we had a complicated escape and rescue op all planned out."

"Oh, whatever shall you do with the science geek," the blonde replied, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. She breathed in the steam for a moment before taking a sip, and then grimaced at the taste of the strange herb tea mixture. "Tastes like lemons gone bad..." Taking a couple breaths of the steam, she took another sip, doing her best to swallow it and not spit it out. It was doing a good job of delaying her allergic reaction thus far, so she didn't complain.

Gwen scanned her again. No notable improvement, but at least she wasn't getting worse. "I'm going into the back to check for some antihistamines. This herbal stuff may be great for some cases, but I'm not comfortable putting your life on the line for them." She rushed towards the back of the shuttle, calling over her shoulder, "Tell me if anything changes."

M'Gann nodded, holding the cup under her chin. She was still a bit pale, and she gave a weak smile to Khelev. "Might have to rain check on that drink you said we'd have after all this..."

"What? Some kind of herbal tea don't count?" Khelev chuckled softly. "I'm glad you're all right. Having a bunch of aliens cut you up doesn't sound like a fun way to go."

"Alright. I managed to dig up some levocetrizine," Gwen said as she returned with a hypospray. She tilted M'Gann's head to the side and injected her with the antihystamine. "You should start to feel better soon."

The blonde nodded her thanks after she injected her with the antihysthamine, and a couple moments passed before she felt it working. "A real drink, not some weird lemon-y concoction made up on the fly by a local on a different planet," she said to Khelev, giving him a wink. Some color started returning to her face, and she was feeling less dizzy. "It's working, thanks Gwen."

"Of course," Gwen replied with a nod and a small smile. M'Gann one last scan to make sure she would be alright, then packed up her medical equipment.

"Get some rest, we'll be close by if you need anything," Khelev said.

After standing up, he left the room to get back to work on the subspace antenna.
